How Our Dog Cremation Service Works

We’ve designed our cremation service to be as simple and supportive as possible, guiding you through the process with care.

Step 1: Choose a Cremation Package and Urn Option

Our dog cremation services are available in three sizes to suit dogs of all breeds:

Mini (up to 3 kg) – For small dogs, such as toy breeds.

Medium (up to 20 kg) – Ideal for small-to-medium-sized dogs, such as terriers or poodles.

Large (up to 50 kg) – For larger breeds such as Labradors, Golden Retrievers, and others.

Once you’ve chosen the appropriate package, you can also decide if you’d like to upgrade to one of our beautiful wooden or brass urns.

Step 2: Schedule the Collection

When the time is right, contact us to schedule your pet's collection. We will come to your home or vet clinic at a time that suits you. If you’d like, you can introduce us to your pet, share their story, or take a few moments in silence. We are here to respect your wishes, and we will stay as long as you need during this difficult moment.

Our collection process is handled with the utmost care and respect, ensuring your pet’s dignity is preserved.

Step 3: Return of Ashes and Memorialisation

After the individual cremation, we will return your dog’s ashes in either the standard box or your selected urn. You’ll also receive a cremation certificate, paw print, lock of fur, and a name tag to remember your dog by. For those who wish to create a lasting memorial, we offer a free memorial page on our website where you can share stories, photos, and memories of your beloved pet.

The Importance of a Thoughtful Farewell
Saying goodbye to a beloved dog is one of the hardest moments a pet owner may face. While grief is deeply personal, creating a meaningful farewell can help honour their life and bring comfort in the days ahead. Choosing cremation allows you to keep their memory close, whether through a dedicated space in your home, a memorial garden, or an urn that reflects their spirit. Our service is designed to provide gentle guidance, ensuring your pet’s final journey is handled with care and dignity.
Choosing the Right Memorial Option for Your Pet
Memorialising your pet is a personal choice, and no two families are alike in how they wish to honour their beloved dog. Some prefer a simple scattering of ashes in a favourite outdoor spot, while others find comfort in a dedicated home memorial. Here are some meaningful ways to keep their memory alive:

Personalised Urns – Our wooden and brass urns provide an elegant, lasting tribute, available in various designs to match your preferences.
Memory Boxes – Store treasured items such as their collar, favourite toy, or photos in a special keepsake box.
Garden Memorials
– Some families create a peaceful memorial garden, placing their pet’s ashes beneath a flowering tree or a dedicated plaque.
Custom Paw Prints – Display your pet’s paw print in a frame or cast it in clay as a permanent reminder of their presence in your life.Whatever you choose, we’re here to provide support and guidance to ensure your pet is remembered in a way that brings you comfort.
How to Cope with the Loss of Your Dog
Losing a pet can be incredibly difficult, and grief is a natural response to such a significant loss. While everyone grieves differently, here are some ways to navigate this challenging time:

Allow yourself to mourn – It’s okay to feel sadness, guilt, or even moments of relief. All emotions are valid.
Create a tribute – Writing down memories, assembling a photo album, or sharing stories with loved ones can help keep their memory alive.
Seek support – Whether through friends, family, or pet loss support groups, talking about your feelings can be incredibly healing.
Consider a memorial service – Some owners find comfort in holding a small gathering to say goodbye, whether privately or with close friends.

Remember, you don’t have to go through this alone. Grief takes time, and healing happens in different ways for everyone.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know the ashes I receive belong to my pet?
We perform individual cremations, meaning that only your pet is cremated at one time. Our process is transparent and follows strict procedures to ensure that the ashes you receive are exclusively those of your pet.

Can I be present during the cremation?
While we do not offer attended cremations, we take every measure to honour your pet with dignity and respect. If you would like to discuss specific wishes, we are happy to accommodate where possible.

What should I do if my pet passes away at home?
If your pet passes at home, please contact us as soon as you feel ready. We can arrange a gentle collection and provide guidance on keeping your pet comfortable until we arrive.

Can I include a special item with my pet during cremation?
Yes, you are welcome to include small personal items such as a handwritten note or a piece of fabric with your pet. However, some materials may not be suitable for cremation, so we recommend discussing this with us in advance.

What if I need more time to decide on an urn or memorial option?
We understand that grief takes time, and there is no rush to make a decision. If you choose our standard package but later decide to upgrade to a wooden or brass urn, we can arrange this for you.
